This is my multiplicity photo. It tells the story that we are playing hide and seek. It was a really fun photo to shoot
and edit.

This is my idiom photo. If its not obvious, my idiom was "you are what you eat". The man'd is a doughnut and a doughnut is being thrown into his mouth. I used to work at a bakery so I thought doughnuts would be something fun to incorporate into this picture.

Spinning Drumsticks
In this video, a man shows you one way to spin a drum stick. It is a very good video that shows you the simplest way to do it. There was some background noise that was a little distracting but other than that, it was a very good how to video.

How to play the Bongos
In this video, you learn how to play the bongos. You learn how the way you place your hands can change the tone of the drum. It went into a lot of detail about everything, even how you should sit while playing them! i enjoyed this video a lot.

How to play Reggae Drums
In this video, you will learn how to play a reggae beat on the drum set. I know from experience that a reggae beat is very hard to do. This video just gives the basics in a way that was very easy to understand. The camera angle was very good because you could see everything that he was doing (minus the feet part).

What are my thoughts about the movie? Would I recommend it?

I thought the movie was great. It showed both of their lives in a very creative, fantastic way. It always kept my interest too. The movie plot was interesting but it also showed some good values throughout the story. Like, family/relationships are very important and that doing what you want takes hard work and dedication. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family. It would be a nice family movie to watch together.

How are the concepts you are currently learning about in class/school reflected in the movie Julie & Julia?

We are learning about how, in a blog, you can express your personal opinions and that's exactly what Julie is doing. She writes about her cooking and also her life. It also shows us that a blog isn't always private. Julie got in trouble at work because her boss read it. So we have to be careful what we write.

Pick one of the following career lesson we can learn from Julia and respond
-Accept that doing anything well requires hard work

I think that anything you do is going to involve hard work and time. Nothing is going to come easy. If you want to become good at takes a lot of time, effort, and practice. If you really want to whatever it is well, you need to be very determined and be willing to put forth the effort.

 What is my passion?
My number one passion would have to be music. I go to concerts almost every week! I'm always at shows. Not even popular big band either. I go to a lot of local metal shows mostly. You have to support local music, I cant stress that enough! every band started out as a local band and without their fans they would not have become big bands. I love music so much, especially playing the drums. I have been taking private lessons for just under a year now and, not to toot my own horn, but I am getting really good at it. Whenever I'm drumming, all my problems disappear. The whole world stops and all I feel is the beat. It is such a good way to just get away from the world for an hour or two. My family and neighbors just LOVE when I practice. It really is just my absolute passion in life: music and drumming.

Do you have to have your life figured out by age 30?
I personally do not think you have to have your life figured out by the time you're 30. Some people do, and that's great, but if you don't, that's no big deal! My mom is 45 and she always says, "I still don't want to know what i want to be when i grow up." Just go with the flow and see where you end up. You'll find what you really love along the way. You're life isn't over at age 30. You're still young and full of life! If you're life isn't figured out by age 30, don't worry about it. You will find what you really love and want throughout your crazy journey called life.

Indepent work project

The photographer I chose was Jay Maisel. I chose to shoot like him because he is very interested in natural light and settings. He just shoots what he thinks is interesting and doesn't have any fancy lighting techniques, most of the things he photographs are natural lighting and a natural setting.
I have some pictures done for this project. I still am planning to take more and upload them onto the computer.
